By The River

We finished our job at La Lomita and arrived at our new place five days ago. (More about our 'new place' - By The River - at a later date.) Today I finally found the time to take a walk around the area.

Northern Cardinals were some of the most abundant birds at La Lomita so stumbling across this little guy was like running into an old friend...


Like most everyone else in the country, we are in experiencing record cold temperatures. It was 24-degrees last night and the forecast is for 8-degrees tonight with a wind chill factor of 3-degrees.  Brrr! Hopefully, our pipes won't freeze and we'll be able to stay warm.
